Your Go-To Guide for Amazon Listing Image Dimensions & Specs
This blog is a go-to guide for the dimensions, resolution, and specs when creating listing images for your product’s listing page on Amazon.
Where are my listing images located?
Listing images are the images you see at the top left of your Amazon listing page next to your bullet points. There are 7 visible positions for content, which can either be (1) 7 images or (2) 6 images and a video. If you click on any of these images, a gallery will appear where you can have up to 9 images total and multiple videos.
Listing that has 6 images and a video. This particular listing has added 6 videos to their product.
Listing that has 7 images and no videos.
What aspect ratio should I be using?
It’s important to note that Amazon listing images are typically square (1:1 aspect ratio), but they are allowing more and more sellers to use vertical images. If you are given access to vertical images, I highly suggest you take advantage of the extra real estate because it will get more attention from mobile shoppers. While it’s still a relatively exclusively feature, your listing will also look like a premium product since few have access. Right now, it’s mainly grocery and clothing categories that have vertical images, but the number of categories with vertical images is constantly growing. You can tell if you are given vertical image access by looking at the image thumbnails on your listing. Below is a side-by-side of a listing with square images and a listing with vertical images:
